Anyone who knows Charlie knows that his dog is not far away at any time. Her name is Sadie. She is a chocolate Lab we rescued almost 2 years ago at the animal shelter. She has assumed the role of gaurd dog for both my boys. She is ever watchful of them, barking when an outside door opens, whining when one of them is calling me, even barking when one leaves the boundary of our yard. Sometimes I have to remind her that they are my boys and not her puppies. :) I grew up with cats. To discover a dog's love for a boy and a boy's love for a dog has been a heart-warming experience. Jeff tells me he felt the same way about a black Lab, Sam, when he was growing up. He tells me this is an important time in a boy's life to have a good dog. I believe him.

Hey,
Good to see my boy and his dog. Love you all, hope Luke feels better.
xoxo
Great photo, Heather! I can't believe that is Charlie! He looks so big!
Regarding graininess, what ISO are you shooting? The higher the ISO, the more grain you'll get. I try to stay at 100 or 200...but 400 is sometimes a necessity in lower light situations. I DREAD 800 ISO...and don't even want to think about going any higher!
As for the other problem, I think you're experiencing the dreaded shutter lag that you'll find with point and shoot digitals. My solution? hehehe....buy a digital SLR! (I'm such an enabler!) LOL. Truly though, the shutter lag is just a fact of life with the point and shoots. It is a true pain in the rear when you're shooting kids, isn't it?
Hey, Charlie looks like he has grown about 2 feet. He looks longer than the couch!! I can't believe how much I am missing being up here. Sam was a great dog! And, the enabler- Amy- trying to get you to buy an SLR too. I am beginning to wonder if she works for the company getting commission!! HAHA:) Love and miss ya.
Heather, you are right about a dogs love. It is totally unconditional and unlimited, no matter the situation. There is a story out ther about God making all the animals and would not give the dog him his name till all animals had been named. Then He said I will turn my name around and name you Dog. If you love animals it will give you goose bumps. I LOVE DOGS---all kinds.
Heather,
What in the world are you feeding Charlie? He looks like he's as tall as Poppie!
~Whats the SLR?
There must be miracle grow in the water. He told me a week ago his shoes were too tight, I went and had him measured, he was 2 sizes larger!!!! I thought he only wanted new shoes!
